How environmentally friendly is your car truly?
More information about Ecoscore

Since March 2014, our database also contains the newest car models, none of which was yet registered in Belgium. The data on these latest models are originating from EurotaxGlass's. When such a new model is concerned, the Ecoscore provided is just approximative: the Ecoscore is then displayed in the database list with a grey number. Cars with an exact Ecoscore keep their white score, as before. More information about the data sources can be found here.
last database update: 09/01/2015 - next database update planned for: 13/03/2015
We distinguish between 3 groups of technologies:
1) vehicles with a conventional combustion engine (‘combustion engine’),
2) pure electric vehicles (‘battery electric’) and
3) vehicles with both an internal combustion and an electric engine, these are both conventional and plug-in hybrids (‘hybrid’).
New model = new vehicles still available (based on recent registrations),
second hand = no longer available as new vehicle
prototype = model announced but not yet available
Because nowadays all LPG cars are in fact retrofitted (whether or not by manufacturer himself) gasoline cars, our database of LPG vehicles is a copy of the petrol cars database. Obviously, this does take into account an adjusted consumption, CO2 emissions and WTT emissions.
By selecting the size of the car you can choose between 3 categories: small, medium and large.
This classification is based on the ground surface of the car: <7m², 7-9.5m² and >9.5m².
We distinguish between different fuels:
1) vehicles running on alcohol blends ('Bio-ethanol (E85)')
2) vehicles running on conventional diesel ('Diesel')
3) diesel hybrids without external electricity recharging ('Diesel hybrid CS')
4) diesel hybrids with external electricity recharging ('Diesel hybrid PHEV')
5) pure electric vehicles ('Electricity')
6) vehicles running on hydrogen using a fuel cell ('Hydrogen FC')
7) vehicles running on CNG ('Natural gas')
8) vehicles running on conventional petrol ('Petrol')
9) petrol hybrids without external electricity recharging ('Petrol hybrid CS')
10) petrol hybrids with external electricity recharging ('Petrol hybrid PHEV')
The score below is in grey when the Ecoscore could not be calculated exactly, because some data were missing. The score displayed is then a lower bound of the actual score. Non-grey Ecoscores were calculated exactly.
